芝加哥耐寒無花果樹

Finally got this planted in a spot that gets some frost, and it’s already pushing out new growth this spring. The resilience to cold weather is exactly what I needed for my zone 5 garden.

I’ve had this fig tree for two seasons now and it came back strong after a brutal winter, just as the description promised. The fruit is surprisingly sweet for a cold-hardy variety, and the branches are sturdy enough to handle heavy snow loads without snapping.

Planted this in late fall and it survived a brutal January freeze without any die-back—the cold hardiness is no joke. The new leaves came in thick and glossy by early summer, and I’m already eyeing the first tiny figs forming.
