黑騎士醉魚草

Planted these along the fence line and the bees went to town within a week of the first blooms opening. The deep purple spikes get so heavy they gently bend the branches, and I've counted at least a dozen butterflies on a single bush by late afternoon.

Those deep purple flower spikes are absolutely stunning against the dark green foliage, and the butterflies have been nonstop visitors since it bloomed. It's grown so fast I had to move it to a bigger spot.

Planted this in early spring and by mid-summer it's already taller than me, with those dark purple spikes acting like a magnet for monarchs every single afternoon. The blooms hold their color even in the blazing sun, and the butterflies genuinely don't leave it alone.
